PSG is an international brand very popular. In recent years, the club has developed its digital presence, in order to extend its reach to its fans. According to Horizm, a platform specializing in the digital sector, Paris Saint-Germain has been one of the most influential sports teams worldwide over the past year. With an audience of 146 million fans, the valuation of Parisians on digital reaches 66 million eurosthe sixth highest estimate, in the sports world.
The digital valuation of PSG is 66 million euros
If the French club points far behind Manchester United (209 M€), Barcelona (177 M€), or Real Madrid (114 M€), it still manages to get ahead of historic teams, such as Juventus Turin (41 M€ ) and Bayern Munich (€34m). Over the year 2021, no training does better than the Parisians, in terms of audience growth (+33.3%), all sports combined. A feat achieved, in large part, thanks to the arrival of the six-time Ballon d’Or, Lionel Messi. However, the report points out that Paris Saint-Germain are not as efficient as their competitors in generating value (in 20th place, with a value per fan of €0.45).
TikTok, the network where Parisians dominate other teams
To achieve such a significant valuation, PSG has, in part, relied on the trending network of recent years: TikTok. On this platform, the Ile-de-France club clearly dominates the debates, with more than 25 million subscribers, and a total value of 5.6 million euros. It distances itself from Premier League clubs, both in audience (14 M for Tottenham), and in valuation (4.8 M€ for Manchester United). The network, still very young, is unfortunately only the 4th most influential on the net, far behind Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, which does not allow Paris to place itself even higher.
