DNB Eiendom, the brokerage chain for the country’s largest bank, is looking for a new top manager. CEO Terje Buraas has decided to resign. He himself confirms this to DN.
He is a DNB veteran with almost 42 years of experience in the group. He has “only” led the bank’s brokerage chain for five of those years. But it is the right time to resign now, according to Buraas.
Strategiendringer
– You get a lot of ownership for such a job. A strategy process is now underway in the group, and I think it will be wrong if I implement it. Other leaders should address this.
– Will there be strategic changes for DNB Eiendom?
– It can be. And the next person should do it, not me. Therefore, it is right with a change.

Buraas will not resign immediately, but will continue to lead DNB Eiendom “until the summer”. Before the autumn, his successor will be in place.
– The position is advertised internally. We probably work externally as well, says Buraas.
– The country is very good
Thursday the Financial Supervisory Authority forward a new condition report who found non-compliance with the money laundering regulations, deficiencies in internal control routines and training of employees at DNB Eiendom, as well as «certain breaches of the regulations» related to the brokerage chain’s distribution of homes under construction.
– What is it like to have to resign as director at the same time as DNB Eiendom gets so much pepper from the audit?
– When the audit comes with a report, they always point out what is negative. That is their job. And these are things we absolutely take seriously. This was a big audit that I think landed very well.
After he resigns as director this summer, Buraas says he plans to stay in the DNB group until he retires. The 62-year-old says he needs to find out how soon it will be.
– There are some children and grandchildren who are also tempting, he says.
DNB Eiendom has more than 800 employees nationwide, and in 2020 had operating revenues of NOK 1.7 billion. Profit before tax ended at 110 million.
