Uruguay will stop asking for antigen tests to those who enter the country from Monday

The complete vaccination schedule and the contracting of medical insurance will be requested. Otherwise, a negative PCR must be submitted.

The Executive Power decreed that from next Monday it will no longer be requested to present a covid-19 antigen test to be able to enter the country, as reported this Friday Telemundo (Canal 12).

If the complete vaccination schedule and the contracting of medical insurance will continue to be requested.

In case of not having the coronavirus vaccine, a negative PCR test must be presented, as established by the decree of the Ministry of Public Health (MSP).

Those who enter the country must complete the affidavit from the MSP. If you have had covid in the previous 10 to 90 days and do not have the vaccines, you must prove a negative PCR or antigen test carried out no more than 72 hours before the start of the trip.

Since last February 18, Uruguay began to request antigen tests instead of a negative PCR result when entering the country.
