While there were previous studies showing that Covid-19 vaccines changed the course of the disease and reduced transmission, research published in the Lancet revealed the effect of the coronavirus vaccine administered to a person who had Covid-19 for the first time.
According to the news in Sözcü, while the first research was conducted in Brazil, the vaccines examined were CoronaVac, Oxford/AstraZeneca, Janssen and Pfizer/BioNTech. It was stated that these vaccines provide extra protection against hospitalization and death rates in people who have had Covid-19 before. In the same study, it was noted that these vaccines also reduced the symptom in people who had previously had Covid-19.
The second study on the same topic was conducted in Sweden. In this research, it was announced that the extra protection rate in individuals who recovered after being infected with the corona virus and who were later vaccinated continued for at least 9 months.
