“America has – oh, not America but a foreign country I cannot name sending a message to that leader in an attempt to meddle in his country’s politics,” Khan said in a televised speech on Thursday, after a no-confidence motion against him was rescheduled. from Russia TodayFriday (1/4/2022).
Local media on Thursday reported Khan had received a briefing letter from Pakistan’s ambassador to the US which included footage of a senior official from Washington implying that relations between the two countries would improve in Khan’s absence.
“They said that ‘our anger will go away if Imran Khan loses (the power of) this vote of no confidence’,” Khan claimed, describing the contents of the letter.
US State Department spokesman Ned Price insisted the allegations were untrue, stating that Washington is following developments in Pakistan but respects and supports Pakistan’s constitutional process and the rule of law.
This is not the first time Khan has accused Washington of interfering in the country’s internal affairs and trying to influence its policy decisions. On Sunday, he addressed the issue at a rally where he sought to energize supporters as his political opposition has sought to oust him and reminded his supporters during Thursday’s broadcast that Pakistan gains nothing from supporting the US war on “terror”. except for more terrorists and drone bombings.

Khan has refused to bow to American pressure to condemn Russia for sending troops to Ukraine, arguing Pakistan gets nothing for such a move.
