A 76-year-old German national was critically injured in a fire at his accommodation in Gottenheim. On April 1st, 2022, at around 2 a.m., a passer-by noticed the fire in a wooden shack in the Gottenheim area. In front of the burning hut was its occupant with severe burn injuries. He was taken to a special clinic with life-threatening injuries.
The hut caught fire for reasons unknown. At the present time there are no indications of third-party debt.
The Bötzingen police station has taken over the investigation.
