GenPI.co – Indonesian badminton legend, Rexy Mainaky speaking honestly about his compatriot, Flandy Limpele, who chose to leave Malaysia to return to his country.
As known, Flandy Limpele decided to return to Indonesia after two years as coach of the Malaysian men’s doubles national training sector.
The 2004 Athens Olympic bronze winner with Eng Hian will continue his career as a national mixed doubles coach PBSI.

The result was certainly welcomed by badminton fans in the country.
However, his departure from the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) brought sadness to the badminton world of the neighboring country.

The reason is, since joining in May 2020, Flandy has succeeded in bringing great progress to the Malaysian men’s doubles sector.
One of his biggest achievements was bringing Malaysia’s men’s doubles, Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik to bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics last year.

This is also unfortunate by another Indonesian badminton legend, Rexy Mainaky who currently serves as BAM’s coaching director.
