Jakarta –
NTT, an IT infrastructure and services company, opens data center the latest which is claimed to be the largest in Indonesia. Its capacity reaches 45 megawatts (MW).
This data center is named NTT Jakarta 3 Data Center (NTT JKT3). It is located on Jl Java, MM2100 Industrial Estate Cibitung, Bekasi.
The data room at the NTT Jakarta 3 Data Center occupies an area of 21 thousand m2. There is already 1 Data Hall room with an area of 6 thousand m2. Another 3 Data Hall rooms are under construction plans. Beyond that, there is an office area of 4,500 m2.
“So the scale of a data center depends on space and capacity. The total capacity in NTT JKT3, is 45 megawatts,” said the President Director of NTT Ltd. Indonesia, Mizuho Tada, told detikINET at the launch of NTT JKT3 in Cibitung, Bekasi, Thursday (31/3/2022).
Tada compared it with the existing data center, namely NTT JKT2, located in Jakarta. NTT JKT3 has a very wide capacity. Therefore, he claims that this is the largest storage facility in Indonesia.
“Compared to NTT JKT2, the most different is the high density. It’s like having high power, which is quite large. So with the use of one rack, it requires very high energy. Therefore, in JKT3 we have sufficient high density. high,” said Tada.

As known, data center Indonesia is currently experiencing very rapid growth. There has been an increase in the migration of Over The Top (OTT) players, as well as after the government announced the implementation of 5G in Indonesia.
Apart from that, many activists in the global data center industry have entered the Indonesian market. The existence of these facilities is needed by entrepreneurs or business people, which aims as a means of safe data storage.
Therefore, NTT Ltd. launched a new and large-scale storage facility, titled NTT JKT3. They offer a very low latency connection, which is directly connected to the main network in NTT JKT2.
“Jakarta 3 Data Center will accommodate the needs of clients, especially cloud service providers and the financial industry, who need flexible facility designs to help achieve their business goals,” said Tada.
