The large German car group Volkswagen will have to recall more than 100,000 plug-in hybrid cars because they risk catching fire due to an insufficiently insulated battery. This was announced by a company spokesman on Thursday. The cars in question, sold in various parts of the world, are 42,300 among the Volkswagen Passat, Golf, Tiguan and Arteon models. Another 24,400 are under the Audi brand and the recall also concerns Seat and Skoda cars, two other brands belonging to the group.
