The sentence fell to the Girondins de Bordeaux! Already complicated on the field, the Bordelais will have to do without part of their public during the next home game.
The Professional Football League announced on Wednesday that it had taken sanctions against the Marine et Blanc club because of the attitude of the supporters on March 20 against Montpellier. In addition to bottle throwing, the Virage Sud had used smoke bombs, delaying the Bordeaux – Montpellier meeting by 20 minutes. In a press release, the Disciplinary Committee therefore announces “the closure for two matches, one of which is suspended, of the lower part of the south corner stand of the Matmut Atlantique stadium“.
The low Virage Sud will therefore be quickly during the next home match against Metz, a direct competitor in the maintenance, on April 10th. In the meantime, the Girondins players will have to negotiate the trip to Lille this weekend.
