The first major WhatsApp update of 2022 is here. In a blog entry, Messenger announces a complete overhaul of the voice message function. A total of six new features will be added to the iOS and Android app over the next few days.

Not all features are available yet
WhatsApp does not reveal exactly when the features will be available to you. Some of them are already available – such as the wave view. However, other functions such as listening to messages outside of a chat or pausing recordings are currently only possible on iOS. We think that in the coming days the features will be rolled out worldwide for iOS and Android.
