BAYERN 3 reporter Sarah Beham from the BR studio in Deggendorf felt the same way. She had bought three tickets for ‘Holiday on Ice’. The event earlier this year was canceled due to Corona.
The question of voucher or money came back from the ticket agent. I chose the money. I paid a total of 211 euros for the tickets. Money was finally transferred to me, but not the full amount. The ticket broker simply withheld 40 euros in fees.”
Not only Sarah experienced something like this, but many of you in Bavaria. One thing is clear: you shouldn’t let that offer you anything. The ticket sellers are just trying to make a little money – at your expense, says the Bavarian consumer advice center. The consumer advocates have published a sample letterwhich allows you to claim back the full purchase price of your tickets.
The LG Munich I overturned the general terms and conditions with which (the ticket dealer) Eventim excluded the reimbursement of advance booking fees in the event of the cancellation or relocation of an event.
Sarah downloaded the sample letter, set a deadline and – whoops – a few days later she actually had the remaining amount in her account. Sarah’s advice:
Be persistent, really be persistent. Absolutely. I noticed that myself. And that’s what the consumer advice center says, you can’t just let yourself be brushed off and you can definitely try to claim the full ticket fee.”
