Miks Galvanovskis, a surprise of this year’s “Supernova” competition, has released a new single “Saples” and its video. It must be said that there will be something to see in this clip – musicians kill it twice (or more).
The song “Saplēs” is about our habits that we are aware of, but no matter how toxic they are, we are never ready to let go. It is a story about the interaction between two people. Like the lyrics in the song, “You open me up and shut me up,” the video shows the feeling that no matter how bad it is, we always get back to habit and try to turn things around, even if the outcome is known, “explains Mick. The video was created together with Elvi Lācis, but the main role is played by actress and artist Madlēna Valdberga. The song was written about a year and a half ago with producer Reini Briģi, and “it finally felt like it had to be lifted off the shelf and put into the world,” says the musician. The song “Saplēs” is announced as one of the messengers of his new album.
