Jørgen Strand Larsen is in the interest of Feyenoord. The Rotterdam team follow the striker and see a suitable successor to Cyriel Dessers in the Norwegian. However, it is questionable whether the FC Groningen player is feasible for the stadium club.
”FC Groningen has a great striker with Strand Larsen. Only 21 years old, good height, strong, can score a goal”, Hans Nijland begins his story in conversation with FootballTime† “The record transfer at FC Groningen is 9.5 million so far, that was Marcus Berg.”
FC Groningen now hopes to break that record. I wouldn’t be surprised if this one goes over. I read some reports that he is associated with Feyenoord. I can’t imagine that, because Feyenoord cannot pay this boy.”
Feyenoord watcher Sinclair Bishop of RTV Rijnmond already announced last Monday that his arrival is not realistic. “That Feyenoord Strand follows Larsen, okay, but it is not the case that he will be the new striker of Feyenoord.”
”There are many players on the list, because Feyenoord has to switch. But Cyriel Dessers costs four million, I can’t imagine FC Groningen letting Strand Larsen go for less”, there are also doubts. “I understood that in Groningen the stamp of lazy has been put on him for a long time, but he scores easily and there is scope for it.”
