After experiencing serious health problems in her youth, Jully Vallory decided to resume her studies at the age of 17. In this case, a professional baccalaureate in aesthetics, which she follows at the Silvya Terrade school, in Chartres. “I have two months left before I get my professional baccalaureate,” says the young woman, now 19 years old.

Since January 2021, she has been living in an apartment in the residence for young workers Thuringe, located passage de Sours, in Chartres. “Over there, I have access to aid that I wouldn’t be entitled to if I had a standard rental. Thus, to pay my rent, every month, the Family allowance fund pays €350 directly to the Thuringe residence for young workers. My only resource is the allowance of €280 that Childhood Social Aid pays me each month. »
€200 set aside each month
Once the cost of his telephone subscription and his insurance have been removed, he has €240 left to live on. Except that Jully Vallory sets aside nearly €200 each month to finance her professional project. “I intend to open my beauty therapist’s office as a self-employed person,” explains the young woman. An activity that she would like to combine with piercing and tattooing, “to break the codes”.
“But before that, after my professional baccalaureate, I will have to take training and finance it myself. And then, I also have to buy the equipment I’ll need when I open my beauty salon, and that’s very expensive. »

For food, Jully Vallory relies mainly on the residence’s food bank. “I just buy a few fresh products to supplement my diet. To cover her health expenses, Jully Vallory is attached to her mother’s mutual insurance company. And as far as clothes are concerned, she only dresses “almost only with recycling”.

The young woman nevertheless keeps smiling: “At the end of the year, I will join my boyfriend in Tours. I relativize a lot compared to what I lived in the past. And then, I know people who, in order to be able to follow their studies, prostitute themselves or sell photos of themselves on social networks, ”confides the young woman, who dreams of creating an association to help children.
