TORONTO – Canada’s national soccer team has qualified for a World Cup for the second time in its history since 1986. In the penultimate qualifying round of the continental association Concacaf on Sunday, the Canadians won 4-0 against Jamaica. This means that Canada has secured participation in the World Cup in Qatar. The only World Cup with Canada so far was the tournament 36 years ago in Mexico. The USA and Mexico are almost through, Costa Rica has to go to the playoffs as things stand at the moment.
