The Mercedes-Benz plant in Chakan, India, has stopped production for the most incredible reason you can think of. A leopard crept into one of the buildings in the complex. As you can imagine, the employees were quite worried, but fortunately no one was injured.
The wild animal was caught with a sleeping pill and after thorough medical examinations will be returned to the wild. The local forestry and the Wildlife SOS organization, which responded to the signal, managed to catch the frightened big cat relatively quickly. The spotted visitor is a 3-year-old male leopard, which caused such chaos that the plant stopped working for six hours, dizzyriders.bg reports.
In Chakan Mercedes produces C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, CLA and several crossovers – GLA, GLC, GLE and GLS, including for export. The facility was built in 2009.
