Indonesian Student Executive Board (WELL SI) held a demonstration in front of the State Palace on Monday (28/3) today.
Head of Traffic at the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Purwanta, said that his party had not closed roads or diverted traffic in the aftermath of the demonstration.
“Safe, no diversion,” said Purwanta when confirmed, Monday (28/3).
Purwanta did not reveal the number of protesters who would take part in the demonstration. However, he said, the demonstration will be centered on the Horse Statue of Arjuna Wiwaha.

BEM SI previously stated that it would hold an action entitled the National Action Call. There are six demands in today’s demonstration.
First, to urge and demand President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to take a firm stand against, and to give a statement of attitude towards the postponement of the 2024 election or a three-term term because it clearly betrays the state constitution.
Second, demand and urge Jokowi to postpone and review the IKN Law, including problematic articles and the impacts from environmental, legal, social, ecological, political, economic and disaster aspects.
Third, urging and demanding Jokowi to stabilize prices and maintain the availability of basic commodities in the community and resolve other food security problems.
Fifth, urge and demand Jokowi to thoroughly investigate the cooking oil mafia and evaluate the performance of the relevant ministers. Fifth, urge and demand Jokowi to resolve the agrarian conflicts that occur in Indonesia.
Finally, demanding and urging Jokowi and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin to be fully committed to completing their campaign promises for the remainder of their tenure.
While monitoring at the location, as of 11.50 WIB, there was no sign of the masses in the Medan Merdeka area. Monitoring CNNIndonesia.com, the flow of traffic is also still being monitored smoothly.
