21:20 – Scooter driver shot from car
A scooter rider was shot from a car on the Slinge near the Zuiderbegraafplaats in South Rotterdam around 20:45. The man on the scooter was not hit, the car with the shooter is missing. It is not yet clear why the shooting took place, but it is believed that an argument preceded it.

20:10 – Man seriously injured after arguing in cafe
A number of drunk men got into such a fight at the beginning of the evening on Sunday that one of them was seriously injured. The quarrel started just before 6 p.m. in a cafe and ended on the Meekrapstraat, a side street of the Lange Hilleweg in Rotterdam-Bloemhof. The victim was taken to hospital with head injuries and is in serious condition. Two men have been arrested.

16:27 – Engine flips on van, both catch fire
A dirt bike rider was released on Sunday afternoon with the shock that he collided with a delivery van from the opposite direction. The motorcyclist saw the car in a bend on the Ruigendijk in Oudenhoorn and crashed. The engine slid under the car and both vehicles caught fire. The driver of the motorbike suffered abrasions. The driver of the car was shaken but not injured.

– 15:30 – Fire in barn with special Chevy collection
A fire broke out in a barn with special Chevrolets in Ooltgensplaat on Sunday afternoon. The fire was brought under control around 3:30 p.m., but there is a lot of ash and water damage. Five bystanders and three cats were checked by rescuers because they had inhaled some smoke. No one had to go to the hospital.

–The fire started just after 14:00 in a garden shed on the Weespad but spread to the shed. In that shed are three special Chevrolets. One of them has been driven out and is under the axle. The status of the other two cars is still unclear. The cars were being worked on in the shed.

The bystanders who were checked for smoke inhalation had helped secure items outside. The animal ambulance has taken care of the three cats, who are recovering in a car.

The fire brigade had to cut into the roof of the shed to extinguish the fire and to make sure that there is no fire somewhere in the roof. Firefighters will remain present for a while with three cars and an aerial platform, also because it is very hot in the firemen’s suits. Action can then be taken quickly if one of the firefighters becomes unwell.
