The award ceremony medals for youth and sports and associative commitment (MJSEA) was held Tuesday, March 1, 2022 under the presidency of the prefect ofYour Jerome Filippini.
These medals reward people who have been particularly invested either in the world of sport (athletes, leaders and volunteers), or in favor of youth movements, associations or collective reception of minors.
They also honor people who have distinguished themselves through associative activities in the service of the general interest.
Sixteen medals
As explained Francoise Moncadaacademic director of Eure, 16 medals were awarded during the evening: one gold, one silver and fourteen bronze.
These concerned the promotions of January 1 and July 14, 2021 as well as that of January 1, 2022.
Michele Schellerthe president of the departmental committee MJSEA of Eure and secretary general MJSEA of the French federation, insisted a lot on the importance of the role of volunteers in society.
It is important that volunteers like you mobilize to guide our youth in their search for essential benchmarks for harmonious community life.
After the usual congratulations and thanks, Michèle Schaeller handed over to the prefect of Eure Jérôme Filippini.
From the start, he did not hide his pleasure at being able to bring the recipients together again in the prefecture.
He then honored sport and associative commitment, before formulating three wishes concerning the proposals for the files.
More young people, more women and more diversity in profiles other than sport.
Flag bearer…
Among the recipients was Christian Dubois, whose file was proposed by Virginie Sené-Rouquier, the former sub-prefect of the Andelys borough.
At the end of January 2022, Christian Dubois received a letter from the departmental committee announcing that by prefectural decree of December 27, 2021, he had been promoted to the JSEA bronze medal for the promotion of January 1, 2022.
This former major of the gendarmerie of Les Andelys, gold medalist of the National Defense, is largely invested in volunteering, in particular as a flag bearer since 2011 and coordinator of the flag bearers of the French Souvenir and the Military Medalists of the Andelys since 2016.
… and intervening with the Cadets of the gendarmerie
Another action that is very close to his heart is that of volunteer worker within the Gendarmerie Region of Haute-Normandie (RGHN) in Rouen.
He intervenes there within the framework of the duty of memory with the association of Cadets of the National Gendarmerie of Seine-Maritime which aims to promote the civic sense of young people aged 15 to 21 years.
In this same context, he is currently a candidate for the future association of Évreux. This bronze medal, awarded by the departmental committee of Eure medallists, will be added to the already extensive list of Christian Dubois who is also a member of seven patriotic associations.
