Mohamed Salah returned in strong form for the Reds during the 2021-2022 season, making 36 appearances across all competitions, scoring 28 goals and providing 10 assists in the process.

Mo Salah’s contract at Anfield expires next June, and the Merseyside giants find it difficult to concede a salary with this experienced striker.

However, according to Football Insider, Sunday, (27/3/2022), the owner of Liverpool still hope to sign Salah with a new contract.

The club owner reportedly believes that Mo Salah will eventually lower his wages.

The Egyptian is thought to want £500,000 a week to stay at Anfield, having established himself as one of the best players in the world during his time at the club.

Salah has scored 153 goals and 57 assists in 239 appearances for Liverpool since joining the English giants from Roma in July 2017.
