The years of the pandemic were economically very complicated. To confirm this, the magazine Football Money League di Deloitte confirmed a decline in the overall turnover of the 20 main European clubs of two billion euros between 2019 and 2021.
In addition, the 12 clubs that in April 2021 had joined the super lega they registered debts for over € 2.5 billion. It goes from 800 million in 2019/20 to even double in 2020/2021.
The club that has lost the most is the Barcelonawith a debt of over 578 milioni. After the Spanish club, however, we find three Italian clubs: Inter, Juventus e Milan. These three have accumulated debts of respectively 348, 300 and 291 million.
A particular note should also be dedicated to Roma. The Friedkin club has in fact an overdue account 390 million, beating even Inter. However, it does not fall into this particular ranking as it does not adhere to the Super League project.
