A liter of petrol 95 may cost 1,829 euros per liter from Saturday, slightly less than last week’s record price of 1,951 euros. The maximum price for petrol 98 goes to 1,956 euros per liter. Last week it was more than 2 euros.

Last week, the government introduced a temporary reduction in fuel excise duties, at least until September 30. Without that discount, prices would be even higher. If the price falls below 1.70 euros, the excise duties will go up again.
