At 6.19, the police received a report of a traffic accident at the Ryen junction in Oslo. Both police, fire and health have moved to the scene.
– One is seriously injured and has great pain in the body, says operations manager in the Oslo police district, Gjermund Stokkli.
The driver of one of the cars is injured. The person in question has been transported to hospital, and there is major material damage to the vehicles.
Stokkli informs NTB that the injured person is a taxi driver, and that the taxi was hit from behind.
The police have control of the driver of the other car, but are looking for two people who escaped from one of the cars.
– There are two pieces that have probably run away from the place, so we are looking for them, says Stokkli.
At 7.50, the police have still not managed to find the two who ran from the place.
– Suspected intoxication of the driver who caused the accident. The crime scene has been cleared and we are opening a case on the matter, the Oslo police district writes.
