Sinner and Zverev get away with it
Alexander Zverev and Jannik Sinner made it through to the third round in Miami in pain. The German signed his first victory since his freak out in Acapulco at the end of February. He won in three sets (6-4, 3-6, 6-3) against Borna Coric (166th). The Italian saved him three match points against Finland’s Emil Ruusuvuori (71st) before winning, 10 points to 8 in the tie-break of the third (6-4, 3-6, 7-6 [8]). Zverev will be opposed to Dimitrov or McDonald, Sinner will face Carreno-Busta, who beat Goffin.
