Why do so many cellphones now use implanted batteries?

KOMPAS.com – Currently it seems to be almost non-existent WL (HP) with a removable battery (removable battery). Maybe until around 2010, you can still find cellphones with removable batteries.

Next, the trend of using removable batteries on cellphones is starting to shift with the presence of built-in battery (non-removable battery). Mobile phone manufacturer Apple iPhone has a role in popularizing Cellphones that use built-in batteries.

Apple is quite successful in introducing the iPhone which has a slim body with reliable performance, one of which is thanks to the use of a built-in battery to charge the device’s capabilities in the power sector.

The first generation iPhone released in 2007 has used a built-in battery model and has been successful in the market. Years later, several phones from other brands started to use built-in batteries, such as the Samsung Galaxy S6 in 2016.

Until now, it may be difficult to find the latest HP releases with removable batteries. So, Why is HP now using a built-in battery?

The simplest answer is that built-in batteries have advantages that removable batteries don’t have. Anything the advantages of the built-in battery is as follows:

1. Make your phone slimmer and lighter

Removable batteries require a special plastic frame that separates them from the rest of the HP engine. This frame is usually a fairly large size, thus making the weight and size of the phone bigger.

The frame serves to protect the machine from leakage of battery content, which may occur due to the user’s removable battery activity.

Meanwhile, the built-in battery doesn’t need the plastic frame, making the phone slimmer and lighter. The battery is like permanently embedded in the phone.

Prevention of battery leakage is done by making the phone body unable to be opened carelessly. As a consequence, users cannot freely remove and install the battery.
