Starting next week, the Marvel movie Morbius in cinemas in many countries. Unfortunately, the film follows a little later in the Netherlands. The first reactions have already appeared online and these do not bode well.
The film is under fire, among other things, because of the mediocre story that would rather fit a film from the 90s or the 00s. The visual effects would also be mediocre. The video after the credits is said to be particularly weak and raise serious questions about Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.
The weak reception is not very noticeable. Sony Pictures continues to struggle with the genre. Despite the good financial results, the two Venommovies also not highly regarded in terms of storyline.
Reactions Morbius not hopeful
Of course, the first reactions don’t always say something. It is true that the first online reactions are often a lot more positive than the eventual reception among the public and critics. Running from April 21 Morbius in Dutch cinemas.
Well, #Morbius is about as bad as you were expecting. A 2005 plot collides with visually confusing CGI to create a bit of a snooze fest. But don’t worry, they’ve saved the worst for last. Featuring some of the worst post credits scenes you’ve EVER seen, Sony are off their rocker. pic.twitter.com/TMfVpq95Tn

#Morbius proves that no matter how many famous faces or shiny visuals you squeeze in, Sony will always find a way to impressively misunderstand basic storytelling pic.twitter.com/Jxf8bPzi57

Well #Morbius is unfortunately not great (some really shoddy vfx & 00s formulaic plot) & definitely not as fun as Venom. Really confused at the future of the Sony Spiderverse following the post-credits scenes & the editing 🤷♀️ Matt Smith is clearly having a blast though! pic.twitter.com/ZCz8aLeUL0
