The first reactions to “Morbius” – everything is bad, even the scene after the credits

We’ve previously heard disturbing reports that critics weren’t very impressed with Jared Leto’s Morbius as a DC character. Now, the first reactions began to appear on the network – it seems that this time Sony did not manage to make an addictive movie comic. And this is after several insane successes of the Prime Minister. Apparently, the skills of Marvel Studios do not just pass on.

The film was directed by Daniel Espinosa and written by Lost in Space writers Matt Sazama and Burke Sharpless. In addition to Leto, the film was played by: Michael Keatom, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona and others.

Sab Astley wrote:

Well, Morbius is exactly as bad as you’d expect. A 2005-level plot clashes with CGI visual clutter to create a lullaby. But don’t worry, we’ve saved the worst for last. This is one of the worst post-credits scenes you’ll ever see in a movie, and Sony failed.

Escape Film Club on the same wavelength:

Morbius proves that no matter how many famous faces or flashy effects, Sony will always find a way to miss the basics of storytelling in an impressive way.

Nicholas Austin added:

Hmm, unfortunately “Morbius” is not impressive (rather weak visual effects and a plot from zero), and it’s definitely not as funny as “Venom”. A confusing future awaits the Spider universe, given the post-credits scenes and editing. But Matt Smith is definitely having fun!

Ren Vieira on twitter:

In Morbius, Matt Smith does a great job decorating the atmosphere, and Oliver Wood shows the visual prowess of the action scenes. But other than that, the bad plot and crap effects, the incomprehensible editing and the terrible musical accompaniment lead to a complete mess. But what after the credits surpasses even all this.

Morbius will premiere in the US on April 1st. The film will not be shown in Russia.
