The premiere of the new program “Always Green” by singer Laimijs Rācenājs and legendary guitarist Aivars Hermans is planned – it will be a meeting in music, conversations and revelations.
They met in music 30 years ago – performing at the music and art festival “Pictures 92” in the White Hall of Riga Castle. At that time, they performed evergreens (“evergreens”) in English – always green melodies. As these tunes are still as popular as they were 30, 50 or 80 years ago, the well-known musicians have agreed to revive the duo to play the tunes that have become the standard for jazz music around the world. ”
The concert will feature songs by composers Richard Rogers, George Gershwin, Antonio Carlos Jobob, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Raymond Paul and others, from Girl From Ipanema, Summertime, Autumn Leaves and Michelle to Rosette. which were mostly written between 1920 and 1970. “These songs are written so masterfully that they can be adapted to any tempo and music genre.
