Disney wants to attract more tourists from Ecuador to its attractions in Florida, United States | Economy | News

During the last years, the tourism that Ecuadorians do in Florida, United States, has been increasing. The Disney company has not overlooked this and has tried, through Disney Destinations, to attract more tourists and tour operators so that they have their services and products in their packages, especially those that they have in the peninsular state on the Atlantic coast.

Ángel Sarria, director of Marketing and Sales for Latin America at Disney Destinations, which is the entity that sells Disney park and cruise services to travel agents and consumers, comments that Latin America has always been important for the company in generalbecause it has great respect and love for the brand, characters and stories, and for this reason the markets of the countries of the region are evaluated.

“On the Ecuadorian side, the number of visitors that are coming to us is a substantial number of people, of families, and we see great potential to continue increasing the number of people who visit us. Although it does not share numbers, the company mentions that Ecuador is within the six or seven markets in Latin America for its parks in Florida, and they see that the numbers could increasesince they think that they have not grown at the rate that they could have with the country’s tourists.

For this reason, they are paying more attention to Ecuador to learn more about the market and see what they have to do so that more families travel, according to Sarria.

Sarria explains that they work with wholesalers in the region, and they sell to local travel agencies so that they can buy and offer Disney products to the final consumer.
