Her producer Gints Stankēvičs is applying as a singer – Keitta is an 18-year-old future singer and songwriter who was born and raised in Smiltene.
Kate has been composing songs since she was 10 years old. Currently, songs have been made in both Latvian and English, some of them will reach the audience this year, with the release of Kate’s first album.
The twists and turns of relationships, the search for self, and the fight against the injustices of the world are just a few of the themes in Kate’s lyrics and melodies. The young singer with her music invites the listeners to pause for a moment, listen and go into what we often miss in the daily hurry.
The single “Thought Storm” is Kate’s debut in Latvian music. The song is inspired by the human fear of acknowledging the harsh truth that feelings, often hastily called love, are in fact a selfish reluctance to be alone. “Probably the lies we tell ourselves are the biggest and most painful,” says the singer.
