The charter of the dependent elderly person

1. Any dependent elderly person retains the freedom to choose their way of life.

4. Maintaining family relationships and friendly networks is essential for dependent elderly people.
5. All dependent elderly people must be able to keep control of their assets and mobile income.
6. Any dependent elderly person should be encouraged to maintain activities.
7. All dependent elderly people must be able to participate in the religious or philosophical activities of their choice.
8. Addiction prevention is a necessity for the aging individual.
9. Any dependent elderly person must see, like any other, access to the care that is useful to them.
10. The care required by a dependent elderly person must be provided by trained workers, in sufficient numbers.
11. Care and assistance must be provided to the elderly person at the end of life and to his family.
12. Multidisciplinary research on aging and addiction is a priority.
13. Legal protection of the person: any person in a situation of dependency should see protection not only of their property but also of their person.
14. The entire population must be informed of the difficulties experienced by dependent people.
