Peter Gillis suddenly became unwell during a consultation for his reality series on Wednesday afternoon and was then taken to hospital by ambulance. His heart rate turned out to be much too low.

It was his son Mark who immediately called 911. The 60-year-old reality star herself did not get anything from it. His heart rate was only 30 in the hospital. A brain scan was done, which ruled out a brain haemorrhage, TIA or stroke. After several tests it turned out that his sugar level was too high. “This is a wake up call, I really have to do something about my weight now,” he tells Dagblad Tubantia.
Gillis gets more tests. Although he was allowed to go home that evening, after he had “eaten a sausage roll”, he still does not feel well on Thursday. He tells his weight loss coach, with whose help he previously lost 40 kilos, that he will work on his weight again and promises: “In a few months you won’t recognize me again.”
