JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Oppo releases new mobile phone series Reno7 in Indonesia, this time it’s Oppo Reno 7 4G. This phone is positioned as the last member of the Reno7 series which was previously filled by the Reno 7 5G and Reno 7 Z 5G.
As a newcomer, the Reno 7 4G is priced at IDR 5,199,000 through the initial order session (pre-order) which will take place on March 25-1 April 2022.
The price offered by the Reno7 is more affordable than the Reno7 Z 5G, which was previously positioned as the most economical Reno7 series phone, with a price tag of IDR 5,999,000.
With a price difference of IDR 800,000, the Reno 7 4G offers a variety of new features and several other features that were also adopted from the Reno7 Z 5G.

However, there are some aspects of the Reno7 that have also been trimmed. One of them is the connectivity capabilities carried by the device.
4G Connectivity
As the name implies, Reno7 4G is only able to support 4G network access. This is different from its sibling, the Reno 7 Z 5G, which can already access 5G services.
Refresh rate tinggi
Both Reno 7 4G and Reno 7 Z 5G both come with AMOLED display panels and Full HD Plus resolution. However, the Reno7 Z 5G has a screen size of 6.43 inches or a difference of 0.03 inches wider than the Reno7 with a screen area of 6.4 inches.
However, this deficiency is also compensated by the Reno7 4G’s 90 Hz refresh rate capability. On the other hand, the Reno7 Z 5G screen is only capable of processing refresh rate stuck at 60 Hz.

Sony IMX709 and Microlens
One of the selling points offered by the Reno 7 lies in the camera aspect. This phone has a 32 MP selfie camera that is supported by the Sony IMX709 RGBW sensor designed by Oppo and manufactured by Sony.
Compared to standard RGB sensors, the IMX709 sensor embedded in the Reno7 selfie camera is claimed to be able to capture 60 percent more light while reducing noise by up to 35 percent.
Meanwhile, the Reno7 Z 5G has a camera selfie 16 MP (f/2.4) capable of supporting 1080P@30 fps and 720P@30 fps.
Turning to the back, the Reno7 4G is accompanied by three rear cameras including a 64 MP main camera, a 2 MP micro camera, and a 2 MP macro camera.
The three cameras are also supported by various excellent features, one of which is the 30x Microlens which can be used to take photos or videos on microscopic objects using 15x or 30x magnification.
In comparison, the Reno7 Z 5G has a camera range consisting of a 64 MP (f/1.7) main camera, a 2 MP (f/2.4) bokeh camera, and a 2 MP (f/2.4) macro camera.

Both are also accompanied by the Dual Orbit Light feature which is able to emit blue light on the rear camera module, when a notification comes in and when the phone is charging.
Design
Another advantage can be found in the design aspect. Oppo Reno 7 is designed with Fiberglass-Leather Design, a material that is able to give a texture like a layer of lychee grains.
This is able to give the impression that it resembles skin when the user holds the back of the phone, so it will feel more textured than the Reno7 5G or Reno7 Z 5G.
Hardware
Between the two, the hardware aspect of the Reno 7 Z 5G is superior, because this phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, which is built on the 6 nm architecture.

This is different from the Reno7 chipset components which rely on the Snapdragon 680 4G semiconductor.
However, the Reno7 4G offers a storage size of 256 GB or twice as large as the Reno7 Z 5G which has a storage capacity of 128 GB.
Newer software
in terms of softwareOppo Reno 7 4G is considered superior because it already runs the latest Android 12 operating system, which is overlaid with the ColorOS 12 interface.
While his brother, which was released three weeks earlier, still relies on Android 11 with UI ColorOS 12 wrapped.
