WhatsApp Beta releases messages that disappear in 24 hours (or 3 months) – Apps & Software –

O whatsapp beta started getting new delays for self-disappearing messages. according to WABetaInfo This Wednesday (10), users of the trial version of messaging can choose whether the content will expire in 24 hours or three months. The novelty is not yet available in the stable version of the application.

The novelty appeared in version 2.21.21.3 of WhatsApp Beta for Android. The upgrade allows you to choose periods other than seven days, such as 24 hours or 90 days (3 months), for the duration of temporary messages. Timelines had been in development for a few months and was released for the iPhone (iOS) in October.

The messaging app for Android has received yet more increments. This is the case of the new interface of the screen where the information on contacts and groups is concentrated. According to the site, this week the change of look was made available to more users who are using the experimental version of the messenger.

WhatsApp prepares communities for groups

The messaging team is still working on other news. This is the case of the Communities: this Saturday (6), the WABetaInfo shared more details about the feature which aims to provide more tools to improve group organization. The function, remember, is not yet available to users, even in WhatsApp Beta.

The new details show screenshots of the iPhone (iOS) app. In these, you can see a group chat and the name “Communities” spread across several areas of the app, including some notifications and warnings that appear in chat. The footage even revealed the disclaimer that the content is encrypted.

There is no release date for communities at this time.
