Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Accident experienced Mark Marquez in heating MotoGP Mandalika presenting rumors of a change of drivers in the Repsol Honda team.
Marquez was sentenced to suffer a concussion a few hours after falling at the Mandalika Circuit. After returning to Spain, the owner of eight world titles was confirmed to have diplopia or vision problems.
This is not the first time Marquez has experienced this problem. In 2011 and late last year, the racer nicknamed The Ant of Cervera had experienced double vision problems.
Marquez’s condition also sparked anxiety in the Repsol camp. In order to maintain a chance as a top resident, the team, which is distinctive in the colors orange, white, and dark blue, is said to have started targeting new drivers.
This can not be separated from the performance of Pol Espargaro who is still not convincing after being hooked since last year.
Marquez still has a contract until 2024, but if the owner of six MotoGP titles with Repsol Honda cannot continue his career, the work agreement could end.
Quoted from Motorcycle Racing There are four racers who can replace Marquez’s position at Repsol Honda.
1. Fabio Quartararo
Last season Quartararo showed his qualities as a top racer in MotoGP. Having become a byword since making his debut in the premier class in 2019, the French racer actually became world champion last year.
Quartararo is now in the Monster Energy Yamaha team and is predicted to be one of the favorite drivers who will occupy the top position in the drivers’ standings this season.
Quartararo’s contract at Yamaha will expire at the end of this year and if his performance with the manufacturer with the tuning fork icon declines, it is not impossible that the figure nicknamed El Diablo will move.
