At the same time, meteorological stations in the Hérault broke their monthly rainfall record: the totals show 636 mm in Castanet-le-Haut, 364 mm in Soumont, 313 mm in Bédarieux and 303 mm in Vailhan. The previous records in these municipalities are respectively 534 mm, 328 mm, 253 mm and 252 mm, all in 2011, a year when the month of March was particularly wet in the department.
