Puycapel. The solidarity of blood donors. François Danemans, mayor, welcomed 70 donors and former blood donors from the Pays de Montsalvy for their general meeting in Calvinet. The three speakers, Rémi Serrière, Ginette Durand and Marie-Cécile Chateau, were able to summarize the work of the years 2020 and 2021 of the teams of volunteers from Montsalvy, Lafeuillade, Calvinet and Cassaniouze.

In his moral report, President Serrière emphasized the determination of the teams to continue the missions of organizing collections alongside the personnel of the French blood establishment in Aurillac. “Collections took place calmly and efficiently; the donors were there and we can be satisfied with the results. We must thank our partners, the thirteen communes of the Pays de Montsalvy, who have shown their confidence in us. »

For the secretary, Ginette Durand, the promotional activities and sometimes the meetings to prepare the collections have suffered from the health situation. But the results are decent. For 2020, 720 presented, 674 accepted, 29 new; for 2021, 666 presented, 629 accepted, 18 new.

Support from the thirteen municipalities and the Department

The treasurer, Marie-Cécile Chateau, presented two financial statements in excess as a result of canceled promotional actions, but above all the maintenance of financial support from the thirteen municipalities and a subsidy from the Departmental Council.

Dr Corinne Mompeyssin and Albert Vinas underlined the good results of Cantal, the difficulties of transfusion at the national level, insisted on the new measures (making appointments, remote assistance, ferritin dosage, need for a piece of ID with photo for donors).

After the graduation ceremonies, the municipality offered a wine of honor. At the end of the Auvergne dinner, the participants made a gesture of solidarity in favor of Ukraine. A collection made it possible to collect 305 € which the treasurer will donate to the Civil Protection of Cantal.
