“Taking control of Kyiv is still a priority for Russia, but trying to do so will be” suicide “for Moscow,” the adviser said.
Despite several powerful attacks, the Russians have not yet managed to gain control of the capital.
According to Ukrainian authorities, Russian forces have suffered heavy losses in the war so far, reportedly losing around 15,000 troops.

Insists on meeting
Earlier today, the news agency Reuters reported that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyj, insists on meeting the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
He said in an interview on Monday that it is impossible to end the war without meeting his Russian counterpart.
“Until we have had a meeting with the president of the Russian Federation, it is not possible to understand what they are willing to do to stop the war,” Zelensky said in the interview.
Multiple tries
The president has been trying to hold a meeting with Putin for almost a year, but the Russian president has refused and instead asked Zelensky to resolve the country’s “civil war.”
It has been almost a month since Russian forces invaded Ukraine and Zelensky has repeatedly called for talks to end the war.
