American rapper Kanye West, who changed his name to Ye, has been suspended from leading the Grammy Music Awards, Rolling Stone reported, citing organizers.
The reason for this decision is the inappropriate behavior of the contractor in the Internet space.
Earlier, the social network Instagram blocked the account of Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband for 24 hours due to a dispute between him and a TV presenter in which the musician made inappropriate statements. The platform explained that West’s content violated her policy of hate speech and harassment.
The artist, who has won 22 Grammy Awards, said he was not surprised by the decision to remove Kanye, despite his five nominations for this year’s awards.
At the Grammy Awards, which will take place on April 3, Ye had to present his tenth studio album “Donda”, released in August 2021, BTA reports. He is on the list of nominees in the category of album of the year.
