The arms transfer took place in Poland, the newspaper reported.
A spokesman for the German Ministry of Defense explained that due to security concerns, more detailed information on specific weapons systems could not be provided, but noted that various military equipment had been promised or supplied to the Ukrainian armed forces.
And more will be delivered if possible, a spokesman for the ministry added.
Initially, negotiations were held for the supply of 2,700 Strela missiles, but the matter had to be considered by the German Federal Security Council.
The Soviet-era Strela missiles come from the forces of the former East German armed forces.
