LeBron James passes Karl Malone for second place on NBA all-time scoring list

LeBron James is now the number two all-time leading scorer in the history of the NBApassing Karl Malone in the second quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers‘ visit at the Washington Wizards.

King James surpassed Malone’s scoring mark with a layup on an assist from Stanley Johnson. He received a standing ovation at Capital One Arena before going to the bench with less than five minutes left in the first half.
