Górnik Zabrze drew even though he played in ten. Dani Pacheco’s debut goal!

The fans counted on a good performance from Zabrze, and despite the arrival of an outsider, over 10,000 spectators showed up at the stadium. They were not disappointed, the emotions were there!

Górnik started the match with the last team in the table with attacks. In the 8th minute it could have been 1-0: Lukas Podolski tried on in his style from 20 meters. The ball is in the hands of the desperately intervening goalkeeper Paweł Pavliuczenko bounced off the crossbar.

When it seemed that a goal for Górnik was just a matter of time, the visitors scored a goal! In the 15th minute after the Ukrainian’s free kick Artema Poliarusa Górnik’s defenders behaved quite passively, Serb Nemanja Tekijaški nudged the ball. It was Daniel Bielica, but right at the Bosnian’s feet Murisa Mešanoviciawho did what he had to do. After another quarter of an hour, the visitors could lead with two goals, but in a convenient situation the forward Kacper Śpiewak hit only the post.

Podolski did his best; two minutes later he fired from fifteen yards. The ball ricocheted to confuse the goalkeeper, but Pavlyuchhenko hit it with his feet at the last moment. In the first half, they fired 10 shots, including four on target, but the goal for Górnik was not scored.

During the match, both fans and footballers of Górnik had a grudge against the referee Paweł Malec from boat. Lukas Podolski clarified something to him by going down to the dressing room after the first half and he was given a yellow card.

The second half started better for the guests, who created – with the hosts carelessness – a few dangerous situations, but they did not take advantage of any.

For the last quarter of an hour, a debutant appeared in Górnik’s colors – a Spanish winger Danny Pacheco. The last minutes were playing in the bull’s-eye, because in the 82nd minute he saw a second yellow card for a foul Erik Janża. The petite footballer (169 cm) turned out to be the hero of the match: Podolski played the ball 10 meters and this flat hit between Filip Modelski’s legs surprised Pawliuczenka! The end was very exciting, but no more goals were scored. In extra time the judge dictated a penalty by the hand, but after consulting the VAR he changed his decision.

Before the game, a minute of silence was commemorated by prof. Mariana Zembalęan outstanding Silesian cardiac surgeon, student Zbigniew Religawho was a supporter of Górnik.
