22 dead after road accident in Tanzania

A total of 22 people died and 32 were injured when a truck crashed into a passenger bus in the central-eastern Tanzanian town of Morogoro, capital television reported on Saturday.

According to medical sources in this capital, the truck driver lost control and was projected against a moving bus, reported Prensa Latina.

On January 11, another crash between a light vehicle and a minibus near Lake Victoria left 14 dead, including six journalists.

A minibus tried to overtake another car when it collided with the one carrying journalists and officials, the press in this city reported at the time.

President Samia Suluhu Hassan, on her Twitter social network account, on that occasion sent her condolences to the bereaved families and wished the recovery of three injured in the incident.
