The update to version 1.07 promised to fix a bug where for some License Tests, Missions, and Circuit Experiences, vehicles were fitted with unsuitable tires.
They also wanted to reduce the number of credits paid in the game in several tournaments, including the popular Fisherman’s Ranch Dirt Champions – the easiest way to make quick money.
Although the update was available for download, the servers were launched on March 18, at approximately the time the game was launched. They were unavailable until 4 p.m.
The official statement said: “Due to an issue with update 1.07, we are extending the current server maintenance period. We will announce the completion date as soon as possible”
Kazunori Yamauchi, lead producer at Gran Turismo 7, said of the delay and connection errors:
“Just before the 1.07 update was released, we discovered an issue where the game did not start properly on some PS4 and PS5 product versions. ” he explained Yamauchi.
“This was a rare issue that we did not experience during testing on developer hardware or pre-release QA sessions, but for the security of users’ backup data, we decided to discontinue the 1.07 update and make a 1.08 patch.”
“That was the reason for the delay. I sincerely apologize to everyone for the late report.“
