Marketing as a panacea to boost sales

”Integrating the marketing approach into the activity of processors and exporters in the mango sector of Côte d’Ivoire”. This is the theme of the series of training sessions initiated by Intermangue and financed by the BDEx (German Export Trade Federation) for players in the mango sector in Côte d’Ivoire who are nationals of the Kabadougou regions, of Tchologo and Poro.

Following their peers from Odienné and Ferké, on Friday March 18, 2022, the producers and exporters of Sinématiali’s Intermangue, in turn, benefited from simplified marketing strategy implementation techniques to increase their income by responding to the aspirations of local and international customers and consumers.

The 2nd vice-president of Intermangue, Réné Yéo specified that this session of capacity building in Marketing responded to the desire of mango players to boost their sales while being competitive on local, regional and international markets.

“Today, the BDEx, the German structure that supports the Intermangue in its development, has therefore made a commitment to finance this activity and to give sales techniquesmarketing, the Marketing strategies that must be adopted in order to better sell on the local and international market”, he clarified.

For the trainer, Jelissa Ouyi Djeket, Founding Partner at DMARK consulting, the marketing approach remains an effective strategy to increase the visibility, profitability and marketing of mango production from Côte d’Ivoire.

“Each player in the sector will find new outlets and this will promote the rapid sale of products. Without forgetting that this will also change the notoriety and the image of the mango of Côte d’Ivoire; and this can change behavior in our country. Actions can be put in place to raise awareness among Ivorian consumers about the qualities and values ​​of consuming the mango produced in Côte d’Ivoire thanks to all the actions,” revealed Jelissa Ouyi Djeket of the DMARK consulting firm.

For the BDEx, financial partner of the Intermangue, Fadimatou H., reassured his partners of the will of the German Export Trade Federation (BDEx) to work for the qualitative and quantitative improvement of the production of mangoes from Côte of ivory. It should be noted that this training was also organized for actors in this sector residing in Korhogo.
