Storm giant Phil Harres, who was loaned out by Dynamo Dresden, also scored. The 1.93 meter tall attacker first missed a good opportunity before he netted to make it 2-0.
It was Harres’ third league goal of the season, and he’s been making a name for himself this season, especially in the Württemberg Cup. Here he scored nine goals in five games against lower-class teams and is in the semi-finals with SSV.
Overall, the massive offensive man comes to twelve stalls in 31 missions. A good rate for the player, who also played with Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer in the SGD-U19, for his first full season in men’s football.

If Harres and SSV win these two duels, they will move even closer to Elversberg and TSV Steinbach and could also gain a lead over Mainz and Kickers Offenbach.
It also depends on the Dynamo loan, which is still on loan to the former Bundesliga teams until June 30, 2023 and should continue to mature in the fourth division in order to be a real option for the professional squad when they return to Dresden.

Harres definitely has the physical prerequisites for this, and his talent is also undisputed. However, he has to increase his hit rate and also get used to the tougher pace of the men.
After all, he only played three times in this regional league season. So he is close to the starting eleven or is often in it, but is not yet one of the undisputed permanent staff or one of the top performers in Ulm. But all this can still come in the coming weeks and months.
