The viewers of ‘Family’ went into the weekend with a cliffhanger. Peter and his mother Marie-Rose, the characters of Gunther Levi and Martine Jonckheere, were startled by a fire in the middle of the night. Does this mean the end of the ride for two regulars in the soap?

After all, it had already been announced earlier that Levi and Jonckheere, like their colleagues Ludo Hellinx, Hilde Van haesendonck and Marianne Devriese, would be written out of the series. The last three have already experienced their exit, a next one seems inevitable. When confronted with the fire in his house, Peter first brought his son Victor to safety with the neighbor and then walked back into the flames in search of his mother.
