Tone Damli: – Hoping for more TV time

Earlier this month, the premiere of the third season of the TV 2 program was scheduled «Kompani Lauritzen». Once again, a bunch of celebrities have gone out on Dag Otto Lauritzen’s (65) military training.

Whitet them are artist Tone Damli (33)but viewers have not seen much of the “Butterfly” singer so far in season.

Last week, the participants received their first feedback, where they received assessments on a grading scale from “below norm” to “above norm”.

Then Damli was told by the commander that they had barely noticed her, and that she was on the verge of being “invisible”.

– Like to find my place

When Dagbladet meets Damli, she shares her thoughts on the season of “Kompani Lauritzen” so far.

– No, well, you have not seen me so far. I think it’s very nice that it’s finally on TV. When I got home I was full of impressions and experiences and really wanted to retell to family and friends, but it became very difficult. But finally I can see what I have been involved in.

The artist makes no secret of the fact that so far this season she has not had much screen time.

– I think that “Kompani Lauritzen” in general is very fun and entertaining. It is also extra fun that I have been allowed to be with myself. But I hope that I may appear a little more on the screen eventually, she admits.

Although Damli received feedback from the commander that she was almost “invisible”, she still hopes that viewers will get to know her better. She tells Dagbladet that she is simply just a person who likes to be comfortable first.

– It’s probably about me being a person who likes to find myself a little at ease. I may not be the one shouting the loudest right away, even though many might think so. But I like to find my place in the gang, admits the mother of two.

The 33-year-old explains that at home in her everyday life she takes on a leadership role as a mother, and admits that it was therefore good to be the one who let it go during the filming of “Kompani Lauritzen”.

Press manager at TV 2, Jan-Petter Dahl, tells Dagbladet that there are several reasons why the participants get different amounts of screen time throughout a season.

– It is both about what happens in the different episodes, who ends up at the top and bottom of the competitions, and how we tell the different stories in each episode. Therefore, it will naturally vary how much screen time the different participants get, he says.

– Be terrified

Earlier this month, Dagbladet wrote about outbreaks during the filming of “Kompani Lauritzen”. Several of the participants told about illness, and Damli was able to reveal that it was actually she who took it with her to the barracks.

– Definitely. I was terrified the day before when I became ill. I had over 39 in fever at least and it itched in my throat, she revealed.

– I opened the medicine cabinet and found Cosylan, some antibiotics, Paracet and Ibux. I threw down and was about to walk on the ground, she added.

The artist admitted that she was really scared of getting so sick that she could not travel on the recording.

– But I traveled and tested negative on the corona test, fortunately. But I was pretty bad when I got in there, it was no fun at all. And a little ruthless also because there were many others who would get sick afterwards, she continued.
