You did not play the end of the basic part due to the injury. Will you be ready for the quarterfinals?
We’ll see on Saturday, but I’ve been on ice for almost three weeks. I’m in a hurry, now it will be important to get to the speed of the match quickly. I believe the guys in the line will help me to jump in quickly.

How did you follow the conclusion of the basic part, when the team was a bit broken?
From the stands as a spectator and I was looking forward to being on the ice again. The inconveniences, when we were constantly missing someone, kept us going all season. We always dropped out gradually. I don’t remember when we played in the complete line-up. I hope we ate it and now we will go in full formation.

Are you ready for your special power play role? That there may not be that much time on the ice? Have you gotten used to it over the years?
I’ve been through this season for a while and I’m not worried about that. If the coach sends me there, even if I only have to play overtime, I will try to help the team to get there and eventually score a goal.

It is said that it is difficult to win, but even harder to defend. How is it in the third season?
I don’t have it in my head at all. What happened happened. Now we are going from scratch. It depends on how we tune in. Training is already at an incredible pace. We are all looking forward to the first match.

Are you trying to squeeze out the thoughts of a third title in a row?
I don’t want to speak for everyone, but I don’t think about it at all. We will try to fight for the best position, for the first place, but with pretty slow steps.

The end of the basic part was not the best and you lost the President’s Cup. Are you sorry or do you rely on the fact that, as in previous years, you can succeed by attacking from second place?
It may seem like we did it on purpose, but that’s not true. Unfortunately, the President’s Cup didn’t work out for us, but at the end of the season and not at all in the future, no one will remember who won it. What matters is how the season ends in the playoffs.

You are the cabin treasurer. Are they coming for you in the harvest playoffs?
Not at all. Not so much money is spilled there as in the basic part, or when we have new guys. We are divided so that one and the same players do not pay. Everyone chooses the team they used to play in. And if he didn’t work in any of them, he chooses one and puts it in the cash register when we win. It is paid after the series when it is advanced.

Is there an increased rate?
Not at all, on the contrary, it is cheaper, rather symbolic. It is mainly a matter of procedure.

Do you already have an Olympian?
The Olympians have all paid, there were also babies, now Andrej Nestrašil still has to pay. I take care of everything, I have it caught. The Slovak boys paid more for the Olympic medal than the Czechs, although it could be the other way around (laughs).

The playoffs may be full. You are looking forward?
I’m really looking forward to it. I hope it will be sold out, a great atmosphere will be created here and the fans will drive us forward.
